Assembly Examples & Tips
Insert dowels into the same side as the cam.
Insert cam bolts into the side opposite the cam.
Insert cam with arrow pointing towards edge.
To make assembly easier it is good practice to fit the cams, cam bolts and dowels in the correct positions before assembly to ensure they are in the correct positions.
Assembly
Step 1- Base unit:
Prepare a flat area large enough for the base panel to be laid flat. Protect the surface with a blanket.
Lay the panel down with the leg locating holes visible as shown below. The leg locating holes are circled - each leg uses 3 holes when fitted.
Underside
One at a time, align each of the leg sockets with the corresponding 3 holes on the base panel. Tap the socket into place between the 3 locating pins until the there is no gap between the base panel and the leg socket. Use a hammer and tap each of the locating pins down until they no longer protrude up from the leg socket. Once all 3 are fully located the leg socket should be fully secure. NOTE : There should be no gap between the black plastic leg base and the panel. When the sockets are all in place the legs can be pushed into place.
When all 7 feet are fitted, the base assembly should appear as the image opposite. At this point install the cams and dowels before turning over.
The base unit can now be turned over, installed and levelled in place.
Assembly
Step 2- Large Inner unit:
The large inner unit consists of 2 sides, a top and bottom, 5 internal shelves, back brace and back panels. Dowels, cams and cam bolts will be required to assemble the main units. The shelves will be installed later. At this stage the fitter should determine if the larger of the inner units is to be fitted to the left or right hand side and then check the order to see which side the door will be opened from as one of the 2002 / 2182 x 600mm panels will have the hinge holes pre-drilled along the front edge.

2
IMPORTANT! Check that the outer panels, sides & base panels are pulled tightly together by the cams on ALL assembled units. This will ensure structural integrity of the overall finished unit.
Assembly
Step 5 - Main Body assembly - top panel: You will need the following parts:- Base & Large Inner Unit Sub-Assembly. Top Assembly. LED lighting components. Dowels, cams and cam bolts.
The LED is simply push fit into the pre-cut hole in the top panel and the PIR sensor is screwed into position using the pre-cut hole and supplied screws.
All cables will run along the recessed channel on the top of the unit. Refer to the manufacturers instructions for further information.
It is strongly recommended that 2 persons undertake the next part(s) of the assembly process. Check your parts to make sure the cams, cam bolts & dowels are in the correct positions as shown below. Lower the top onto the large inner assembly, making sure the LED is facing down. Carefully slide the top onto the cam bolts - the dowels should also align with the receiving holes.

Step 7 - Interior Shelving: You will need the following parts:-
Large shelves x5. Small shelves x 5. Standard Shelf pegs x 20. Spiked Shelf Pegs x 20.
Each unit can be fitted with 5 shelves. For 1 shelf you will need 2 x standard shelf pegs and 2 x spiked shelf pegs. These must be fitted as shown in the image below with the spiked peg toward the rear of the cabinet - these are simply push fit. Ensure they are fitted with the shelf support surface / spike in the ‘up’ position. Do this for each side of the shelf. Locate the shelf in position with the spiked peg locating in the hole on the underside of the shelf. Repeat the process for the required number of shelves.

Assembly
Step 8 - Door assembly: You will need the following parts:- Door Jointing Dowels, qty as supplied. Door frontages - if the unit has a single door frontage then skip to Step 9
The door frontages supplied will have been drilled for hinges and to receive door jointing dow els. Depending on the door configuration of the unit then the door jointing dowels may include spacers of different sizes - if spacers are included then they must be used. Align the frontages with the door jointing dowels according to the configuration of the unit code (see below) and carefully knock the frontages together.
1997mm o/a door height for a 2002mm unit
2177mm o/a door height for a 2182mm unit
*Spacers supplied are 5mm, 3mm or not required depend ant on door the configuration.
Assembly
Step 9 - Mullion attachment: You will need the following parts:- Unit shell assembly. Mitred strip panels x 2. Mullions x 2. Hi-Lo Screws x 6.
With the unit shell assembled, locate the x 2 long, thin panels with mitre cut edge. Position each within the cabinet and position as shown below.
Fix through the surface area of the mitre panels through into the outer side cheeks of the unit shell to secure them. These mitred panels will be hidden by the mullions so screws can be on show - the raw material of the mitre edge sits flush with the cabinet front.
Assembly
Step 9 - continued:
Take the 2x multiple drilled mullions. Both of the mullions feature multiple pilot half-drillings to suit all door/hinge configurations for this unit. Choose 1 mullion, lay it out alongside the hinge side of the door and then drill fully through the holes you require to suit the hinge plates for your door configuration - see below. Only one mullion needs to be drilled to suit the hinges. The other will be used as supplied - the reverse face should remain un-drilled. The front edge of the unhinged mullion will be drilled later for the push-to-open piston.
Back of mullion before drilling for hinges.
Front of mullion after drilling for hinges.
Assembly
Step 9 - continued:
Position the 2x mullions into the unit so that they cover the mitre edges of the mitred panels and are flush with the front of the cabinet. Use glue down the front of the mitre edge and press firmly against the multiple drilled faces of the mullions to firmly bond together. At the top and bottom of the unit are pilot holes for securing the mullions top and bottom - see diagram below. We recommend using hi-lo long screws for fixing the mullions in place.

Assembly
Step 10 - Door fitting: You will need the following parts:- Hinge plates. Hi-Lo Screws x 4.
Hinges. Door(s). Push-to-open piston.
Fit the hinge plates into the holes drilled in the mullions in the previous Step - locations circled below for example unit with a full height door. For further strengthening of the mullions, mitre panels & the unit, we recommend screwing through the mullion, just in front of the hinge plates, all the way through (see below). This pulls the unit firmly together. The heads of the screws will be hidden by the bodies of the hinges. Fit the hinges to the door in the pre-drilled positions. The Complete Lansbury (wine rack & door spice rack included) will have an additional hinge at the top of the door.
NOTE : if the Complete Lansbury (wine rack & door spice rack included) has been ordered then the shelf mounted wine rack should be secured into the end users chosen position in the larger inner bookcase and the door mounted Spice Rack should be fitted to the pre drilled fixings on the door at this stage.

Hinge Plates.
Step 10 - continued:
Fit the door to the assembled unit - locate the door hinge onto the hooks at the front of the hinge plate and press the rear part of the hinge to lock it into position (see below). You will feel a ‘click’ when it is correctly positioned. IMPORTANT: Continue to support the door while fitting the other hinges. Failure to do so will result in damage to the unit and / or hinges. Adjust hinge plates accordingly. Fit the Push-to-open piston - this is to be positioned in the centre (circa) of the mullion front edge regardless of door configuration. When determining placement of the piston please consider the appropriate height of ‘press point’ for the user when opening the door. We recommend using the dedicated jig as listed in our Product Guide - alternatively create a 5mm (circa) pilot hole before drilling for a 10mm diameter hole to suit the piston. No glue is required for securing the body of the piston.
Connect the LED lighting to the mains supply.
Box wine rack - optional
Locking tabs are to the rear of the plate.
Locating hooks are to the front of the hinge
Push-to-open piston
1) Locate hinge into front hooked part of the hinge plate.
2) Push the rear part to lock into place. It will ‘click’ into position.
Door mounted spice rack - optional.
The unit is now complete.
