Lighting Collection - Things to look out for?
Things to look out for - colour temperature of Lighting (Kelvin):
This relates to the colour of the light given off by the LED’s. This is measured in degrees Kelvin. A very cool light – ice blue appearance would be 6500k. A very warm light – like a candle would be 2700k. Your range is natural white which is between the above at 4000k.
More contemporary styles often demand a cool white whereas a very traditional style may require a warm white light. The natural white would be acceptable in both environments.
• Warm White
= 3000K
• Natural White
= 4000K
• Cool
= 5000K
Things to look out for - voltage drop and LED strip:
If you connect a length of strip to a driver the current travels down the strip & the LED’s light up. However, as the electricity moves along the strip it is subject to resistance. This resistance gradually reduces the voltage. So the LED’s at the end of the run get less voltage & as a result are not as bright as the LED’s at the start of the run. How noticeable this is along the length is a bit subjective.
Example…. 9.6w strip 120 LED/m
If you put the end of the run next to the start you can see a difference in the light output, but looking at the length as a whole it isn’t apparent.
Door Sensors:
Make sure you have changed the pre set programme on the sensor from a swipe sensor to a door sensor BEFORE you fix it to the cabinet. There is a little switch on the unit that needs to be changed.
