Lighting Collection - Things to look out for

Things to look out for - LED Strip:

Cannot be used under a dishwasher – the door will clash with the tape when it is opened. Cannot be used under curved units. Take care when running under appliances that are not in a housing (wine cooler, built under fridge / freezer, washing machine) – there is nothing to fix the tape / channel to.

• • •

If you are planning on using the recessed diffuser under wall cabinets make sure you order a panel (P32280 / FS2418) for the underside of the wall units to allow the channel to be routered into. Use the surface mounted diffuser when running the LED strip above the plinth above high gloss floor tiles. Without the diffuser you will see the individual LEDs reflected in the floor tile! If you are using under a worktop make sure the tape / channel does not clash with the handle on top of the door – especially with slimline handles positioned on the top of the door. Once the LED strip is cut the redundant end cannot be re-used. LED strip lights can not be used beneath dish washers, washing machines, wine fridges, vertical H Line (you will see the rail beneath the channel) etc. When a customer has a very high gloss floor tile, please use a diffused channel to run LED tape through. Not using a diffused channel in this instance will cause light spots from the LED tape to be reflected in the tile causing it to appear as a runway.

When using LED tape, ensure you order the 2 pin to 4 pin converter so that the tape can be connected to the driver, as this has a 2 pin connection where the tape has a 4 pin.

Order an MFC/Frontage panel to recess lights into which is positioned under wall cabinets. When using the sensor, ensure it is switched to the correct setting before installing. If using standard LED tape that is Natural White, then work out required driver using the following method:

• • •

E.g. 1:

4.8 x Length of tape required 4.8 x 5m= 24W

Therefore use CONV10 If using colour tape then the equation is 16 x Length required

E.g. 2:

16 x Length of tape required

16 x 5m= 80W

Refer to table below for power converter

Therefore use CONV12

Note: If using a 4 Zone remote then remember, for every zone you require you will also require a separate receiver.

Things to look out for - LED Converters and Strip:

Make sure you order the 2 to 4 pin cable to allow the converter to work with the tape.

Make sure you have ordered the appropriate converter for the length of LED strip that you plan to use.

The converters will power the following amount of LED strip:
