CONFIGURATIONS The following illustrations demonstrate some of the more common configurations using the components previously listed. NOTE: FOR STRIP LIGHTING THE TOTAL WATTAGE REQUIREMENTS AND NUMBER OF PORTS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN IDENTIFYING WHICH DRIVER(S) WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE CUSTOMER DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS - A PORT EXPANDER / EXTRA DRIVER MAY BE REQUIRED.

The 30w driver is capable of running up to a total of 5 metres of LED strips by using 6 outputs (up to 6 individual strips can be powered). If the requirement is for more LED units the optional port expander will add another 12 outputs allowing the connection of more LEDs up to the maximum rated wattage for the driver.

Domestic Wall Dimmer LED Strip Installation

A wall mounted dimmer should be supplied and fitted by the customer. The kitchen fitter will connect to the output of the dimmer switch.

LED Strip Installation using a Remote Handset

The CCT receiver and remote will control the ON/OFF function and the dimming and colour temperature of the compatible connected units (WARM/NATURAL/COOL).

The receiver required will depend on the model of LED strip being used. Please see opposite for details.

Basic LED Strip Installation For an Island Application

When planning an island type layout you will need to determine the total length of the LED strips to be used. This will determine the driver(s) required. The LED strip offered opposite are rated at 6 watts per metre, therefore a 30 watt driver will power 5 metres of LED strip. The highest rated driver we offer is 60 watt. Customers can decide to use a single / multiple drivers depending on the layout of the island.
